Jennifer Melendez

I’m Jennifer Melendez, an artist in the SoCal area and originally from Hartland, WI. 

My art features places and animals that can’t necessarily speak for themselves and so we are left to interpret their emotions. With my animal artwork, I love to communicate an animal’s personality or their feelings. When there are no creatures in the art, I like the viewer to feel like they could be in this place. When I was younger, Mr. Rogers was especially appealing to me. A kindness in the world and a transportation to another place and setting. I hope to communicate, even in silence, the sounds, light and experience of being in a place.
