Glaucia Stanganelli

Glaucia Stanganelli is a fashion designer that has been featured at New York and London Fashion Weeks, she is a creative director for short movies, a poetry writer, costume designer for movies, illustrator of children's books, and has done a bunch of creative adventures.

Most of her artwork is figurative, influenced by the fashion experiences. Glaucia started painting in a different level as she got deeper into her yoga and meditation practice. The spiritual journeys she went through with these practices were so deep and transforming that she wanted to share it with others and painting those was a way she found it possible. You will see mantras in some of her paintings, they are like codes to direct the mind to a higher and better stream of thoughts, mantras that she has a very deep relationship with. You will also notice references to the chakras, to the energy body and other elements that are very present in a yogi way of life. Glaucia creates to express her journeys, feelings and emotions in a visual form. She intends to use her art as a portal to go back or forward to those moments and experiences. They were so meaningful that she wanted to immortalize it somehow. They came to her through either a real experience or from the dream world, etheric and subtle realms journeys.

She was born and raised in Santo Andre, a suburb of Sao Paulo in Brazil. Since she was a little kid, Glaucia was always creating something. She has lived in different parts of the world, London, New York, Los Angeles, Florianópolis, São Paulo and Austin in Texas, so far… where she collected experiences and inspirations.
