Christine Waljeski

I am a fine artist native to and living in Malibu, California. With formal training in both Fine Arts and Earth Sciences, my work explores the raw beauty of the natural landscape while at the same time investigating the physical conditions and atmosphere of each location. Working throughout my career in a variety of media, ranging from oil to carved stone, my most recent work focuses on plein-air watercolors painted on site throughout Southern California and the world. As a child I lost my family home and everything we owned in a 1993 wildfire ; In many ways I do believe it has shaped who I am as an artist.
